How the math works

The formula behind the numbers.

Drinks per guest

Most guests average 2 drinks in the first hour and 1 drink per hour after. Heavy drinkers and weddings with cocktail hour can run 15–20% higher.

Crowd splits

For full-bar events, guests trend roughly 40% beer / 30% wine / 30% spirits. Beer-and-wine-only events shift to about 60% beer / 40% wine.

Bottle math

A case of beer holds 24 bottles. A 750 ml bottle of wine pours 5 standard glasses. A 1.75 L handle of spirits makes about 40 cocktails at 1.5 oz pours.

The buffer

We add 10% to your final estimate so you're not running dry near last call. Whatever you don't use is yours to keep — that's the dry-hire model.
